Restoration |
Restoring an organ is a very special challenge. In
a separate department of our workshop we can work on historically
valuable instruments or parts thereof, which we are able to submit
to levels of relevant humidity and temperature, which are minutely
controlled. We have special chambers for wood protection and insect
treatment or we cooperate with experts as necessary.

Investigation
work in archives and the study of comparable instruments are essential for
the restoration of historical organs. Usually this study takes a lot of
time, but often the surprising results gained make the effort worthwhile.
Archive research involves increasingly extensive work for us, not only in
the area of historical organs but also in producing expert reports about
more recent instruments. This contact with archives and public institutions
often brings us new experiences, which we are able to transfer and use to
solve questions raised by other aspects of modern organ building.
